Quentin Miller, the man who Meek Mill alleged was writing Drake's rhymes just put out a song called, 'Cease and Desist'. What really has people talking, though is certain lines from the track that sound very suspiciously like him taking shots at Drake:
|
Dropped from the label and still wasn't faded.
Gave these n--- some of the hottest songs of the year and
i'm still underrated.
What you makin' out the door with my name on the bill
From now on, oh no n---
Don't approach n--- 'til that part's cleared up.
N--- sleepin' on me i'm like, 'Who them?'
Think of 2015 without Q.M.
No more "Mr. Nice Guy" Quentin Miller
No more love from my side for you n---.
Middle fingers all you n--- get.
Tried to run off with my swag I send a cease and desist.
Could've easily went in on niggas that ain't what I'm here
for.
I've been heatin' up the stove try'na water whip a Grammy.
Million something plays, million sold Miller platinum... wow.
Quentin Miller took to Twitter after releasing the track to clear things up, letting people know it wasn't a shot at Drake:
Yall thirsty for beef man.. Crazy.. It's just rap... I'm a rapper in case Yall forgot..
There will never be a QM diss track to that man... EVER!But here's the thing-- as of today those tweets have mysteriously disappeared from Quentin's page.
Which brings us to the question on everybody's lips in the aftermath of the Ghostface/Action Bronson beef: if you delete the tweets does the apology still count?
For what it's worth the track does the job as a diss record, if that's even what it is, but it doesn't sound like something that'll set the charts (or streets) on fire. Click on over to Rap Genius for a much more in-depth examination of the meaning behind the bars.
Props to MusicTimes.
